What's Upcoming?

St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival
Event:
St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival
Our parish is participating in the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival for the first time this year! This is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to engage with their faith, develop their public speaking skills, and connect with other Orthodox young people.

For those who may be unfamiliar, the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The festival is designed for Orthodox Christian youth to explore and express their faith through speeches and presentations. Participants research and write their own speeches on assigned topics related to Orthodox Christianity, and then deliver them to a live audience, beginning with our very own parish festival on Sunday, February 23. The highest-ranked speakers at each level will move on to the Regional, Metropolis, and National levels.

This is a fantastic way for our youth to deepen their understanding of their faith, develop confidence in their public speaking abilities, and connect with other Orthodox youth who share their values and interests. We strongly encourage parents to support and encourage your children to participate in this rewarding experience.
